Stay tuned to local news, or weather apps to receive timely information about the hurricane's progress. 🌀 Create an Emergency Plan: Develop a comprehensive plan for your family that includes evacuation routes, meeting points, and communication strategies. Make sure everyone knows their role and understands the plan. 🌀 Assemble an Emergency Kit: Put together a well-stocked emergency kit with essentials like non-perishable food, water, medications, first aid supplies, a flashlight, batteries, important documents, cash, and personal hygiene items. 🌀 Secure Your Home: Reinforce windows and doors with storm shutters or plywood. Trim trees and bushes around your property to reduce potential debris during strong winds. Clear gutters to prevent water buildup. 🌀 Evacuation Strategy: If authorities recommend evacuation, follow their instructions promptly. But that's not all - there will be live music, food and drinks, and activities for the whole family to enjoy.
